I've been told Sailor, my GS, has neuroendocrine carcinoma in his liver. The weight loss and the weakness is a battle and I don't know if the chemo is worth it. He's already been treated with IV's and now I'm told a blood transfusion might be needed. Am I doing the right thing here by saying yes?

Everything you're doing forSailor is to get quality of life good. Talk to the oncologist and ask what the expected outcome of the transfusion will be. If quality of life will be good for a while then I would consider it.

Thank you for your answer. I've talked with the vet and he stated the odds aren't that great but we've decided to try it.

Quality of life is number one on the list for us and it's hard sometimes to know when to say no to further treatment other than making Sailor comfortable.
