A friend of mine's dog Heidi has a solid tumour of the right lower leg.
Chemotherapy is not working.

How can the promising drugi ebc-46 be accessed?
http://www.qbiotics.com/index.php/vet-p ... 46-results

Are there any clinical trials?

Do your oncologists have permission to use this drug?

thank you,

Stephen

Hi Stephen,
there are no published results on EBC 46, so as yet there is no capacity to know if it works or not. It has been given to a small number of general practices I believe and perhaps Qbiotics can tell you where. Other options that might be successful depending on the type of tumour and exact location include surgery (a surgical specialists opinion is best), less aggressive surgery with ongoing daily medication to delay the tumour returning, less aggressive surgery with radiation therapy, and electrochemotherapy (injections into the tumour). Chemotherapy in the manner of high doses intermittently is not commonly used for most solid tumours of the limb.
