On Facebook it says Maggie from Perth had radiation for soft tissue sarcoma. Now tonight it pops up and says Emma from Sydney had radiation for soft tissue sarcoma. I thought chemotherapy was for this cancer as I was not given this option for my dog. Do you get better chance with radiation for this cancer and how much does it cost.

The treatment approach for soft tissue sarcoma varies depending on the location, the grade, and the dog. High grade sarcomas are likely to benefit from traditional chemotherapy whereas low grade ones are not. They will be best managed surgically if possible. Radiation therapy or at-home (life-long) chemotherapy are ways of getting a better response when surgery can't cure. The Perth dog had radiation therapy (and so far is doing very well), but in Brisbane. The facilities are limited to Brisbane, and for some cases also Melbourne.
