This sounds great for dogs. Sally seems to be doing well. It is not listed on the pages for treatments. How many of the oncologists are using this please. Great site you have here. Lots of interesting and educational material.

Thankyou

anti-cancer vaccines are one of the holy grails of medical oncology. There been numerous, failed attempts to develop vaccines which means most of us keep our feet on the ground with each new press release. There is currently a canine melanoma vaccine available to all oncologists but nothing else. There are researchers in Sydney and Queensland i believe working on new projects, plus many others around the globe. It is an exciting age; hopefully one of these will prove successful. We will all be watching closely!

The vaccine has had good results in the initial studies done. There has been a recent paper that didn't find it useful for oral melanomas. All of the studies to date have some flaws so no single paper trumps another. There is no question some dogs get amazing benefit. What proportion get worthwhile benefit is still being determined. It is however easy to administer and safe.
Watch this space!
